Thanksgiving Madness
November was a special month.
- November 23 We left at 5pm (after work) heading to Oregon to see my parents for the Thanks. we got there about 330 or 4am. ashland tried to kill us.
- November 24 mom gets me up nice and early so we can chase the wild turkeys that live in the yard. we also go on a three town hunt to find some vodka and it turns out you can't buy booze on Holidays in Oregon.
We eat a lot of turkey and get very drunk on wine. - November 25 wake up, watch tv. went to walmart on the most horrible day of the year to buy computer. went home. got drunk. elex meets my brother for first time ever. went to dinner with family at nice italian restaurant. got drunk. family bonded. passed out.
- November 26 awkward and boring family bonding. drive to Portland. went to a bar. drove to Seattle. got drunk and naked in hot tub. played lots of video games. listened to eric and joel playing bass. slept on hard cold floor. roommate inspired poem: broiled bacon, wake and bake. and he thought we were all "fucking crazy."
- November 27 drove home to California from Seattle. along the way stopped to visit both parents and grandparents.
- November 28 work at 9am. after work help elex and glen move joe and jenny in pouring rain. the hadn't packed one single thing. in fact, they had unloaded their car onto the kitchen table they new was going to be moved the very next day. stop moving at about 11pm. drive 45mins home to avery from columbia.
- November 29 work at 9am. refused to finish helping them move.
